As a user of Tiptapp, it is important to understand your role and responsibility regarding taxes and declarations. Tiptapp acts as a platform that mediates contact between users but is not an employer or party to the agreements made between users. Therefore, you are responsible for declaring any compensation you receive when performing assignments via Tiptapp's app. We report all payments made through the app to the tax authorities in compliance with the EU’s new DAC-7 directive.
For specific questions about tax and declaration, contact your local tax authority.
Documentation for any payments can always be downloaded via the respective advertisement in the app. For extracts on payouts, go to the Balance view in the app and download the PDF for the whole year.
When you help others and earn extra money via Tiptapp, you are acting as a private individual, not at a professional level. You must ensure that the tasks you perform are not of such scope or duration that they constitute a business operation or can be considered professional activity.
There is also an upper limit in the app for how much extra income a user can earn per calendar year, corresponding to the VAT registration threshold. Once this limit is reached, the user is blocked from taking on further paid tasks until the next calendar year.
