When you select a helper in Tiptapp, the payment is reserved on your registered payment card. Here's what you need to know about the process:

Reservation of payment

Why is the payment reserved? Reservation is a security measure. It ensures that there is sufficient capacity to pay and that the payment can be executed when the task is completed.

When does the reservation become a transaction? The reservation is converted into an actual transaction when you are satisfied with the task and close the ad by clicking on "Confirm & Pay".

Refund of the reserved amount

If the ad is canceled for any reason, the reservation is immediately released through our payment partner Stripe.

Different banks handle the release of reserved amounts in different ways. It can happen immediately or take up to a few days. Contact your bank for specific information on reservation times (usually it takes up to 3 days).

I have two reserved amounts

If your ad has been canceled and you choose a new helper, a new reservation is also made for this person. It may seem like there are multiple reservations, but no actual transaction takes place until you confirm the ad is completed, after you have been helped.

All payments should be made via Tiptapp

It is important to make all payments via Tiptapp, as we take a brokerage fee from the amount. It also ensures that we receive documentation that everything is handled correctly and ends up in the right place. If payment is made outside the app, our insurance policies do not apply and we cannot verify the recycling.
