Short answer
💡 If any of your belongings or property were damaged during an ad, start by contacting your helper via the in-app chat.
If you added insurance to the ad, the damage will be handled by Omocom, Tiptapp’s insurance partner.
Check your insurance
Start by checking whether you added insurance when you published your ad.
You can see this by opening the ad in the app — if insurance was added, it will be noted there.
If you added insurance to your ad
Contact your helper
Send a message to your helper in the chat and explain what happened.
Try to resolve the situation directly between you — many misunderstandings or minor damages can be resolved quickly this way.
Find your insurance certificate
For some ad types, you can add optional insurance from Omocom when creating the ad.
If you added insurance, you received an email from Omocom titled:
“Tiptapp and Omocom – Insurance policy and terms”.
This email includes instructions on how to file a claim.
File the claim (if insured)
Go to Omocom’s claim form via the link in your insurance email.
Include clear photos and a short description of what happened.
If you did NOT add insurance to your ad
Contact your helper
Start by messaging your helper in the chat and explain the situation.
Try to resolve the issue directly between you first — many cases can be handled this way.
If the ad is not insured — reach an agreement
Because the task is an agreement directly between you and the helper, we encourage you to try to reach an agreement first.
Always start by contacting the helper, then reach out to us.
Once you’ve agreed, we can assist — for example, by adjusting the payment before the ad is confirmed in the app.
Contact Tiptapp Support if needed
If you cannot resolve the situation with your helper, contact Tiptapp Support through the app.
We will help clarify what applies and guide you further.
Important to know
Tiptapp is a platform connecting private individuals — therefore ads are not automatically insured.
Insurance via Omocom is optional, but recommended for extra peace of mind.
If the damage involves a vehicle or was caused by a vehicle, the car insurance may apply.
If you didn’t purchase insurance, your home insurance — or the helper’s home insurance — may cover the damage. Contact your insurance provider for more details.
