Short answer
💡 If you can’t complete an ad, you must always inform the advertiser directly in the chat and then cancel the ad in the app.
It’s always better to communicate early than to not show up — it shows responsibility and has less impact on your rating.
What to do if you can’t complete an ad
1. Contact the advertiser in the chat
Open the ad in the app and message the advertiser immediately.
Explain clearly why you can’t complete the task — for example if it turned out to be larger than expected, if you have vehicle trouble, or if you are sick.
Always be honest and respectful — it’s important for trust in the community.
2. Cancel the ad in the app
Open the ad and tap Cancel.
Confirm the reason for cancelling.
Once you cancel, the ad becomes available for other helpers to take over.
If you have already marked yourself as “on site”, you need to contact Tiptapp support in the app to get help cancelling.
3. Align with the advertiser
Payment is only made for tasks that are 100% completed.
If the ad cannot be completed due to something on the advertiser’s side, you may discuss compensation for time or fuel — but the advertiser is not obligated to compensate you.
If you reach an agreement, you can contact Tiptapp support via the app and we’ll help process the payment.
Good to know
You only get paid for tasks that are completed and approved by the advertiser.
