Short answer
💡 If your helper hasn’t completed the full task, do not mark the ad as completed. Start by contacting your helper via the in-app chat. You only pay when everything is finished and approved by you. The reserved payment amount acts as a temporary hold on your payment method and is automatically released if the ad is canceled or the job is incomplete.
What to do if your ad wasn’t completed
Contact your helper
Open your ad in the app and message your helper via the chat.
Explain what’s missing — for example, if something wasn’t picked up, delivered or recycled as agreed.
Sometimes a helper may need to make an extra trip (e.g., to the recycling centre). As long as it’s agreed with you as the advertiser, that’s perfectly fine.
Do not approve the payment Don’t tap Confirm & Pay until everything is done. The money is only reserved — it is not charged until you personally confirm that the task is completed. If the task is canceled or remains incomplete, this reserved amount will be automatically released back to your account.
Contact Tiptapp Support if needed If your helper isn’t responding, or if something seems wrong (for example, if the helper marked the ad as completed even though it isn’t), contact our support directly in the app. Describe what happened and include photos if possible. In cases where the helper does not show up or the job remains incomplete, Tiptapp ensures that you are not charged, and the reserved payment will be released.
Important to know
Everything the helper is expected to take must be clearly visible in the ad photos. If you added more items after publishing, you need to create a new ad — you can choose the same helper again if you want.
We only make a reservation on your account when you select a helper. No payment is made until you confirm the task is done. Note: The ad closes automatically after 5 days — contact Tiptapp Support if more than 2 days have passed.
Don’t confirm the ad until everything is 100% complete — once you’ve approved it, we can’t guarantee support afterward.- Payment holds for incomplete or canceled ads are released immediately, but it may take a few business days for banks to reflect the release on your account.
