Short answer
💡 If an ad does not match reality — for example if the amount is larger, the description is wrong, or the task can’t be carried out as planned — you should not start working.
Always contact the advertiser in the chat first, and cancel the task in the app if you cannot reach an agreement.
What to do if the ad doesn’t match reality
1. Assess the situation
If you arrive and notice that the task does not match the ad, pause before starting.
Examples include:
Significantly more or heavier items than shown in the photos
A different material than described (e.g. construction waste instead of cardboard)
Incorrect details — for example a missing elevator even though the ad stated there is one
2. Contact the advertiser
If your app version supports price adjustment, you can use that feature.
If not, message the advertiser and explain the situation, for example:
“Hi! It looks like there is a bit more than what’s shown in the photos. I’d like to help, but this is larger than expected. Would you like to create a new ad for the extra items, or should I only take what the original ad included?”
In many cases, you can agree on adjusting the scope or price so it feels fair for both sides.
If you agree on a new price, the advertiser must create a new ad with the correct details.
Note: You are only allowed to propose a price adjustment when the ad does not match reality.
3. Do not carry out the task without an agreement
If the advertiser does not want to change anything and you judge that the task is unsafe, incorrect, or not as described, you should not start the work.
Cancel the task in the app and state the reason.
Important to know
You should never carry out a task that involves risks, hazardous waste, or materials not listed in the ad.
Prices cannot be negotiated after you’ve been chosen if the ad is correct.
Payment outside of Tiptapp (e.g. Swish or cash) is not allowed.
