Short answer
💡 In some cases, helpers choose to reuse items instead of recycling them — for example by donating or reselling them instead of dropping them off at a recycling centre.
This is completely fine, as long as everything is handled responsibly and sustainably.
How reuse works in Tiptapp
Your helper assesses whether something can be reused
If an item is in good condition, your helper may choose to keep it.
This can be for personal use, donation, second-hand reuse or resale — never disposal in an inappropriate location.
Tiptapp approves reuse manually
Your helper must report anything they want to reuse to Tiptapp, and our team decides whether it is appropriate.
Sustainability first
Reuse is an important part of Tiptapp’s sustainability work.
It is seen as an even better option than recycling because it extends the lifespan of items.
Tips
If you want items to be recycled only, write that clearly in your ad.
If you prefer items to be reused, mention that reuse is welcome — or create a Give away ad instead.
